Local Rules (Revised February 1, 2018)

When a local Little League applies for and receives approval for the annual charter, we adopt the Little League Baseball Rules. These rules can be supplemented with Local Rules.

Rule books and the Operating Manual are copyrighted publications of Little League Baseball, Incorporated. They are not available in any type of electronic version. All Saratoga Little League managers, coaches and umpires have been provided with the manual and local rules will also be provided here.

The Saratoga Little League Board has developed local rules for each division to ensure the developmental goals we strive for are clear and well understood by all. Official Little League rules will be in effect, except as modified by these local rules. All managers have an official Little League rulebook as do the umpires.

Ensuring a fair, safe, healthy and fun game environment is our top priority. Saratoga Little League has a zero-tolerance policy for arguing judgment calls, umpire abuse or call-related displays of poor sportsmanship. Managers, coaches or players involved in such conduct will be immediately ejected from the game and may be further subject to a Code-of-Conduct review.
